If you didn’t already notice, I just noticed that I never changed the title of my last blog entry. I was GOING to write about “what’s in store for 2011″, but switched my topic and forgot to change the title. Sorry! Well, that’s me and my scatterbraind mind. Those of you who know me, know I’m a topic changer…I guess even when I’m blogging! Ok so here it is… We are starting to do custom greeting cards, invitations, and announcements. It’s been so much fun! We’re even offering a new ornate card shape! Here are a few examples of what we’ve done so far…the possibilities are endless!

Ahhh…tonight we celebrate 2010 with the Lynns (they are the gals who make us look better than we are!). They do all of the fulfillment and “cutenizing” for us! We couldn’t run this business without them, so we’re braving the snow and taking them out for a night on the town…Bar La Grassa, here we come! (Yep, that’s the hotest reservation – and the best food – in Minneapolis, inspite of what Bob the trainer says! Stay tuned for our top picks from Bar La Grass tonight!

”Oh my word first of all, as Jason (husband) likes to call it I gave valuable “coaching” .. bless her heart, she was almost there, STUNNING champagne colored envelope, BEAUTIFUL return address label, DARLING brown handwritten address and then … I can’t even say it, it was criminal!!!! Last night we went to the most fabulous Trunk Show for one of our favorite people, Anne M Cramer. She’s a local Minneapolis clothing designer, and she’s just down the street from us! Meredith and I came home with the “Date Night Top” and the “Put a Bow on it Dress”. Simply FABULOUS!

This is one of the fun new products we’re debuting this Fall – Personalized Wine Tags! These are so great for “dressing up” a bottle of wine. I’ve personalized several sets for friends as hostess gifts, and they’ve been a huge hit! Hopefully they’ll be on our website in early October. Enjoy!

This is such an exciting time of year for us at Write Away!!! There is so much to do to get ready for Fall! New products, new designs, new artwork!! I love it! But, every year I ask myself, “Sarah, why did you wait until now to do all this?!” Oh well…maybe I work better under pressure. Yep! I’m busy designing Holiday Cards, which I know sounds strange on August 1st. Whose thinking about HOLIDAY CARDS in the middle of summer? I am!!! I’m all about trying to come up with new, fresh unique cards for 2010. Here is a sneak preview…and, I appologize for the photos…we’re up at the cabin, and I took them on the deck (not a very Christmassy/Holiday-ish background) with my iphone. Our card options for 2010 will include non-photo cards, our crowd favorite oversized (but no additional postage!!!) photo cards, and NEW 3-photo cards. What do you think??? Enjoy!!

Well, it’s been a hectic start to our summer vacation here at Write Away World Headquarters! That’s the understatement of the century. Meredith was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 4 weeks ago (I can’t believe it’s only been 4 weeks – it seems like 4 years!!). She had a double mastectomy, and despite the pain, is doing great! Luckily, the cancer didn’t spread into her Lymph nodes. Praise God! So, she’s got a long road ahead of her, but she’s on the mend, and we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to support ALL women who’ve been affected by breast cancer. So, Write Away is donating $2 for each set of note cards or notepads designed with our NEW pink garden pretty pattern to breast cancer research through June 30th. Join us!!
